If she had known this earlier, she might have tried to get into one of them sooner. Of course, her lonerness wouldn't allow her to do so without being asked first. Was 'lonerness' even a word? That didn't matter at this point.
Helene listened to what the black canine had to say, still rather pleased that she would be able to hunt without the need to worry over whether the food would be wasted or not. She didn't like the idea of the cold, seeing how her very thin pelt allowed the freezing whether of the Winter to reach her skin faster than the pets with thicker coats. Though, of course, she felt a bit sorry for the species naturally bald...
Anyways, that was besides the point. Now, what was this about a cat-looking animal in the pack? Confusion flashed in her eyes as she tried to picture what this creature must look like. What kind of speices might it be? She thought for a moment, but her mind came up blank. "I will try to keep that in mind, sir." She then shook her head, signaling that she didn't have any questions.

If Helene kept this up, the whole “sir” thing is going to make his head bigger than it already is. Wolf came from that background, though, and welcomed the title. All the humans with some authority in the force were referred to as “sir” and Wolf saw it as very respectful. He was a top dog, but not with authority, not an alpha. He wasn’t going to expect everyone call him by that, but the ones that did, he may just show them a little more respect than ones that didn’t. Helene would gain his respect and her skills were very important in keeping the pack strong.
”Very well, then. I have some business to take care of with other potential pack members. I will definitely see you around, Helene. If you have food you’d like to give, there is a place you can put it for now. Beyond those trees over there,” he said nudging his head toward the trees behind her, ”there is a clearing with an oddly shaped boulder and a small creek. You can leave it there or bury it or something. If you want to sleep, that’s the place for now. Malik, the cat-looking creature will be up in the trees. She’s got a pretty loud screech if she sees or hears anything. I’ll give her your description and name just in case you run into each other. I may or may not sleep there tonight, though.”
ooc: If you want to fast forward your post to night time, her and Malik can meet xD

Hours upon hours had passed since she had joined the Unforgotten pack. Who would have thought that just yesterday she was waiting for her masters to return to her with open arms? Who would have thought that she would have joined the pack in which went against her (now past) beliefs?
The Saluki let out a long sigh through her moist black nose. She trotted through the trees of the forest near the cemetery, two limp rabbits dangling in her mouth. Another good hunt. This place seemed to have a lot of hares running around. She had also spotted a few mice, but those she left for cats to catch. They were much to small to waste her time hunting. She would have chased after more rabbits and even a pesky crow she had seen, but the fact that the Unforgotten pack had very little members at the moment forced her to keep her hunting to a minimum for the time being.
Helene blinked, slowing her steps as she noticed the area in which she had arrived on. Ah, yes. This was the place that Wolf had described. Her chocolate eyes scanned the clearing, locking on the rock. Should she leave the rabbits in a pile in the open or dig a hole for them? Leaving them in the open would mean that the crows and other pesky birds would surely attempt to come pick at the fresh kills. Burying it only covered the limp bodies in dirt, rocks, and maybe a few bugs.
Helene let out another sigh, deciding to go with leaving them in the open. It was dark out now, so she wasn't going to leave for any other hunting trips. No, she would stay at the little area, maybe even sleep a bit. Heck, she might even meet that weird cat-like creature Wolf was talking about. The white Saluki made her way over to the large rock, dropping the rabbits in front of it. She then allowed herself to slowly (she wasn't sure about sleeping on soil, grass, and rocks just yet) lower to the ground. The Hunter layed there, her head resting on her paws, just going over the events of yesterday and today.
ooc: fail? D:

It was a bark that awoke her. It was none other than Wolf, the animal she was now taking orders from in exchange for her life. Sure she could have just booked it first chance she got, but she was quite content to be in the middle of what was going on in this pet world. She was too nosey to pass up the opportunity. It gave her protection from being eaten and the option to be as close in the action as she could.
He’d woke her up and she groaned at him, presenting a light hiss at him, exposing her small fangs. Wolf did not seem intimidated, but waited patiently for her. She climbed down and listened to what was supposed to be exciting news. He described the dog and provided a name: Helene. It was pretty, though Wolf complained how it’d been “too human”. Malik couldn’t really tell the difference. She was given orders of her task to watch over Helene tonight. Apparently Wolf had other things to do.
Malik found the spot Wolf described easy enough. When she arrived no one was there and so she waited, scratching shapes into the branch and eating random bugs. She heard the sound of padded paws on the grass and looked over to see who it was. The dog fit the description and was carrying food. Perhaps she should still make sure it was Helene and not just another similar breed who coincidentally stumbled across this area. She watched as the weary dog hesitantly laid down. Malik was almost certain that the dog did not sleep outside much, or at least in foreign places. Typical pet.
Quietly, the lemur climbed down the trunk of the tree on the opposite side. It was a skill of hers to be so eerily quiet. It was as if she were just a ghost. She peeked behind the trunk, cautious that the dog could still attack her. Recalling Wolf’s demeanor, this dog did not look like one to really join this pack. Was she forced into it? Perhaps. Maybe Wolf had her by the throat too. ”Helene,” the Lemur called out in just above a whisper. Malik carefully came from behind the tree, making herself more visible, staring at the dog with the utmost curiosity.</div>
