On the last day of term, Professor Victoire Lupin was suprised to find two doors in the entrance hall of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. The doors seemed to have appeared overnight and nobody she asked was able to explain where the doors had come from. Once the students had returned home, she went back to the entrance hall and examined them more closely. There was now a plaque above each door - one reading Durmstrang and the other Hogwarts.
Doors had also appeared at the Durmstrang Institute for Magical Learning and Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Victoire had sent a message to the other headteachers in the hope that they would know more about the situation. They were soon at the palace but not by the usual means of apparition or Floo powder. They had simply walked through the doors with a Beauxbatons plaque and found themselves in the entrance hall.
The three headteachers agreed to use the strange doors to their advantage. Students would be able to use them to take classes that would otherwise be unavailable to them. The three greatest schools for magic in Europe had formed a partnership. Some of the professors were glad to have the opportunity to teach a wider variety of students while others were convinced that only chaos could come of effectively merging the three schools.
Will the students be able to get on with each other or will they drop their arguments between houses in favour of arguments between schools?
